Here are the answers to the most frequent questions we receive from our customers in Lake and Portage counties regarding laminate flooring.
Is laminate flooring waterproof?
Most standard laminate is water-resistant, not waterproof. It handles spills well if wiped up quickly, but we do not recommend it for full bathrooms or areas prone to standing water. For those areas, we recommend our Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) services.
Does laminate sound hollow when you walk on it?
It can if installed poorly. However, we install high-quality acoustic underlayment beneath the laminate planks. This absorbs sound and makes the floor feel and sound more like solid wood.
Can you install laminate over concrete?
Yes, we frequently install laminate over concrete slabs in basements or first-floor levels. We place a moisture barrier down first to protect the flooring from ground moisture.
How do I clean my new laminate floors?
Maintenance is easy. Use a soft-bristle broom or a vacuum with the beater bar turned off. For mopping, use a damp (not soaking wet) microfiber mop with a cleaner specifically designed for laminate.
Do you offer a warranty on your work?
Yes, as an owner-operated company, we stand behind our craftsmanship. We ensure every installation meets our high standards for "Quality Without Compromise."
What areas do you serve?
We provide laminate installation for the entire Northeast Ohio region, including Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Summit, and Portage counties.
